Productivity Tips for Marketers

Marketing, like most current industries, moves at the speed of light. Joey Armstrong understands that most marketers long for just a few more hours in the day. While Joey Armstrong understands that we can’t slow down time, he does believe marketers can find ways to boost productivity and make the most of the hours on the job. Today, Armstrong will discuss some simple steps to boost productivity.

1. Lists

One of the best things a marketer can do is physically write out tasks that must be completed on a given day. It can be beneficial to start the workweek with goals for the entire week and then segment them out throughout the week. Keep in mind that the stray task will inevitably come up during the day. Leave some room for these tasks and enjoy the sweet sensation that comes with crossing an objective off the list upon completion.

2. Consider Technology

Technological advancements have made just about all marketing tasks that much easier. However, not everyone utilizes technology to the best of its abilities. For instance, no marketer in 2021 should be manually posting on different social media profiles. There are great tools available that not only help schedule posts, but they also provide optimal times for increased traffic. Social posts are just the tip of the iceberg. Joey Armstrong recommends reviewing daily tasks and then searching for tools that can assist. If it can save more than a few minutes a day, the price will be worth its weight in gold.

3. Take Scheduled Breaks

A lot of people find that they are super productive for three hour spurts and then spend an hour trying to refocus. Sometimes, the best thing to do is step away from the laptop and take a quick walk outside. With so many people working remote, it can be challenging to stay focused. By following a routine for breaks, it can make it easier to stay focused on the task at hand as you always know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

4. Stack Your Meetings

Joey Armstrong believes that nothing kills productivity quite like scattered meetings throughout the day. It can be difficult to stop and go multiple times throughout the day. By lumping meetings one after another, marketers can avoid having to stop what they are working on more than once during a given day. This can be a huge time saver.
